Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ever bought cookies from the store. But, it never seemed to satisfy that craving. Well, that's how I felt today. Bought a container of fresh soft baked chocolate chip cookies, at my local supermarket bakery. Unfortunately, I wasn't pleased with the cookies. They weren't as "fresh" as the container claimed. So, how about I bake my own batch of irresistible homemade chocolate chip cookies. First, I had to make a second trip to the grocery store for walnuts and Nestle unsweetened chocolate chips. You'll need the following ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons of hot water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Once, you've manage to obtain the necessary ingredients. LET'S GET STARTED.

First, you will need to preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).

Now, you'll need to cream together the butter, white sugar, and the brown sugar until smooth. Be sure, not to over mix. Beat the eggs in one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Dissolve the baking soda in the hot water. And, then add it to the batter along with the salt.

Finally, stir on the flour, chocolate chips, and the walnuts.

Once, your finish incorporating the ingredients together, you're going to use a spoon to drop large spoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet.

Your now going to bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are nicely browned.

The Perfect Cheesecake

Baking a New York Style Cheesecake is easier than you've ever thought possible. Today, I made the utmost scrumptious cheesecake. First you'll need these simple ingredients below.
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 4 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups of white sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

First, let's preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Once the oven is heating up, let's go ahead and grease a 9 inch springform baking pan.

Now, in a medium bowl, mix graham crackers with melted butter. Then press it onto the springform pan creating the crust.

In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese with the sugar until smooth. Be sure not to over mix. Now you'll need to blend in the milk, along with mixing in the eggs one at a time. Do NOT over mix, just mix it enough to incorporate the mixture. Then, you'll add the sour cream, vanilla extract, and flour until smooth.

Pour mixture into the prepared pan once batter is smooth and mixture is fully incorporated.

Then bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. Turn the oven off, and let the cake cool in the oven with the door closed for 5 to 6 hours; this will prevent any cracking that may occur.

Chill in refrigerator until ready to serve. Enjoy & don't forget to post your feedbacks on this simple delicious homemade New York Style recipe.
